CCNP SCOR 350-701 | Implementing and Operating Cisco Security Core Technologies: training overview

Learn to implement and operate Cisco security core technologies in our Classroom and Online CCNP SCOR 350-701 Training at WebAsha Technologies. The course teaches the knowledge and skills tested in the Cisco CCNP SCOR 350-701 exam.

Training overview:

SCOR is the core exam of the CCNP Security track and the qualifying exam for CCIE Security. The SCOR 350-701 (v2.0) exam has six domains: security concepts, network security, cloud security, secure service edge (SSE/SASE), endpoint protection and detection, and network access, visibility and enforcement. It uses current Cisco Secure product names and includes zero trust and AI/LLM risks. Passing it also earns the Cisco Certified Specialist (Security Core) certification.

Who it is for:

The course suits network and security engineers who want to move up to CCNP Security, work with Cisco Secure products, or begin preparing for CCIE Security.

Topics covered:

  • Security concepts: Threats, cryptography, zero trust, AI/LLM risks.
  • Network security: Secure Firewall (FTD), IPS, VPNs, Layer 2 security.
  • Cloud security: Shared responsibility and securing cloud workloads.
  • Secure service edge: SSE/SASE and Cisco Secure Access.
  • Endpoint protection: Secure Client and Secure Endpoint.
  • Access and visibility: ISE, 802.1X, MAB, Duo, Cisco XDR.
  • Email and web: Email Threat Defense and secure internet access.
  • Telemetry: Visibility with Splunk.

Requirements:

Online participants should have a stable internet connection and a laptop or desktop. The programme includes trainer-led sessions and practice tests.

Prerequisites:

Cisco sets no formal prerequisite for SCOR. Around 3-5 years of security implementation experience is a sensible background, and CCNA-level networking knowledge is strongly advised before you start.

Career benefits:

Cisco security skills are in demand. In India, SCOR-certified professionals typically earn ₹5 LPA to ₹40+ LPA in network and enterprise security roles.
