Prepare for the Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate exam with our classroom and online KCNA training at WebAsha Technologies. The course follows the knowledge areas tested in the CNCF / Linux Foundation KCNA exam.
Training overview:
KCNA is the entry-level certification from the CNCF and the Linux Foundation, and it tests conceptual knowledge of Kubernetes and the wider cloud native ecosystem. The current exam has four domains: Kubernetes fundamentals (44%), container orchestration (28%), cloud native application delivery (16%) and cloud native architecture (12%), which now includes observability. Most people sit it before the hands-on CKA, CKAD and CKS.
Intended audience:
The course is for students, developers, system administrators and IT professionals who want a recognised starting point in Kubernetes and cloud native.
Topics covered:
-
Kubernetes fundamentals: Core concepts, administration, scheduling and containerisation.
-
Container orchestration: Networking, security, troubleshooting and storage.
-
Cloud native app delivery: Application delivery and debugging, with CI/CD practices.
-
Cloud native architecture: Ecosystem, principles, community and collaboration.
-
Observability: Part of the architecture domain, with projects such as Prometheus.
-
CNCF ecosystem: CNCF projects such as Prometheus, Envoy and Fluentd.
-
Container basics: Containers, images and runtimes.
-
Kubernetes objects: Pods, Deployments, Services and ConfigMaps.
Requirements:
Online participants need a stable internet connection and a laptop or desktop. The programme includes trainer-led sessions and practice tests.
Pre-Requisites:
No prior experience is needed. The Linux Foundation sets no prerequisites for KCNA, and the course starts from fundamentals.
Career benefits:
KCNA is a starting point for cloud native careers. In India, cloud native professionals progress from ₹4 LPA to ₹24+ LPA as they advance to CKA/CKAD.
