Learn to design, configure and troubleshoot OpenShift networking in our classroom and online DO282 | EX282 training at WebAsha Technologies. The course is based on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.20 and prepares you for the performance-based EX282 exam.
Training overview:
DO282 goes deep on the network layer of OpenShift: OVN-Kubernetes, user-defined networks for isolation and VM mobility, DNS, ingress and egress control, BGP routing, node networking with NMState, and network observability. Every topic is practised in live OpenShift labs.
Intended audience:
Network architects, platform engineers and OpenShift administrators who design or run cluster networking, including teams moving virtual machines onto OpenShift.
Topics covered:
-
Core OpenShift networking: How OVN-Kubernetes, CNI plugins and the Cluster Network Operator build pod and service networks.
-
User-defined networks: Isolate workloads with user-defined networks (UDNs) and cluster user-defined networks (CUDNs).
-
DNS in OpenShift: Inspect the CoreDNS-based DNS architecture and troubleshoot name resolution.
-
Ingress traffic: Expose applications with routes and the Ingress Controller.
-
Egress control: Restrict outbound traffic with egress firewalls.
-
BGP routing: Run native BGP routing with FRRouting (FRR).
-
Node and VM networking: Configure node network interfaces declaratively with the Kubernetes NMState Operator.
Prerequisites:
Red Hat recommends completing Red Hat OpenShift Administration II (DO280), or having equivalent OpenShift administration experience. Basic TCP/IP, DNS and routing knowledge helps.
Requirements:
Online learners need a stable internet connection and a laptop or desktop for the cloud-based OpenShift labs.
