WebAsha runs classroom and online RH403 | EX403 training at WebAsha Technologies. The course builds the hands-on Satellite skills that the performance-based EX403 exam tests.
Training overview:
The RH403 EX403 training follows Red Hat's 13-chapter outline, which is based on Satellite 6.15 and RHEL 8. You use Red Hat Satellite to manage large RHEL installations: content and lifecycle management, host registration and provisioning, Capsule servers, remote execution, the Satellite API and server maintenance. The labs are done on real Satellite servers, as the exam is.
Intended audience:
The course suits systems administrators and infrastructure and patch-management engineers who manage many Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems and want an official Red Hat credential.
Topics covered:
-
Plan and deploy Satellite: Install and configure Satellite Server and Capsule servers.
-
Software life cycles: Sync content and create life cycle environments.
-
Content views and custom software: Publish content views and build custom products and repositories.
-
Registering hosts: Register RHEL hosts and manage their subscriptions.
-
Host provisioning: Prepare the network and provision bare-metal and virtual hosts.
-
Updates for hosts: Deploy software and apply updates to selected hosts.
-
Remote execution and config: Run remote jobs and Ansible roles on managed hosts.
-
API, cloud and maintenance: Use the Satellite API, plan a cloud deployment and maintain the server.
Requirements:
You should have RHCSA or RHCE-level Linux administration skills. Online participants need a stable internet connection and a laptop or desktop for the live Satellite labs, where most of the EX403 practice happens.
Prerequisites:
For RH403, Red Hat recommends RHCE certification or equivalent experience. For the EX403 exam it lists RHCE or RHCSA (or comparable experience) and the RH403 course or extensive Satellite experience.
Career benefits:
Companies with large RHEL fleets hire people who can run Satellite. In India, packages typically range from ₹6 LPA to ₹24+ LPA in roles such as Systems Administrator, Satellite Administrator and Infrastructure Engineer, and EX403 counts toward the RHCA.
